The human version

This section describes Buckinghamshire's location and geography. The county covers about 604 square miles and sits within the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor, linking London, Oxford, Milton Keynes and Cambridge. It is served by the M40, M25 and M4 motorways, national rail services and London Underground connections, and is close to Heathrow and Luton airports. These connections, together with the Green Belt and the Chilterns National Landscape, shape where development can go.
