The human version

This section introduces Policy BN.1 on protecting sites, habitats and species. It states that these form a vital part of biodiversity in the wider green and blue infrastructure network. Development is expected to enhance, restore and support protected and important sites, habitats and species, whether on or next to the development site, taking recreational pressures into account. Development will not be permitted where it would cause unacceptable harm to them.
