Local Growth locations ~ Mixed-use, Leisure, Community and Town Centre Site CFS Ref Ref Proposal Size (ha) Specific Site Requirements Tachbrook Country Park, Bishop’s Tachbrook BIS.4 Land adjoining the Tach Brook at Bishop’s Tachbrook The park will be a multifunctional green infrastructure asset, designed to: • Provide a strong ‘green buffer’ between the northern parts of Bishop’s Tachbrook and the southern edge of the new development sites off Harbury Lane. This will include minimising the visual impact of development and softening the edge of new housing schemes. • Promote ecology and habitat diversification in a landscape that has historically been associated with modern farming and other uses. • Potentially play a role in flood alleviation, particularly considering the close proximity of a significant number of new houses. • Provide a functional park facility that is well- connected to new developments, in terms of access and walking and cycling infrastructure. University of Warwick Main Campus, South of Coventry (Part of) COV .6 62ha of land at the existing University of Warwick Main Campus is safeguarded for education and research and development related uses, in accordance with the Concept Masterplan. Future development of this site should be in accordance with this Concept Masterplan. Proposals not addressed by the Masterplan will be considered on their merits and assessed against all other relevant development plan policies. Proposals will be viewed positively where they help contribute to the University delivering a world-class educational campus with the necessary supporting facilities. Meon Vale Local Green Spaces MEO.3 Designation of Local Green Spaces within Meon Vale.
