Tips for a response that counts

Say who you are. Living nearby, running a shop or using the service every week gives your reply real weight.
Answer the questions asked. Replies that wander off still get logged, but they carry a lot less weight.
Be specific. “The junction already floods twice a year” tells them far more than “this is a bad idea”.
Bring evidence. Dates, photos and counts are worth more than strength of feeling.
Suggest an alternative. A workable option is much harder to ignore than a complaint.
Use your own words. Piles of identical template letters are often logged as a single view.
Keep a copy of what you sent and the date.
